Maze Of Space
Maze Of Space is a rogue-like that plays with rendering. Petri Purho, the creator of crayon physics, says he programmed the game largely over the course of one games convention. Game-wise, it’s a pretty simple roguey shooter. But the presentation is really stunning. One of those ‘gotta try this out just to see what’s possible’ sort of things. It has enough replayability for a few delves before the proof-of-concept loses it’s novelty, and aside from a few annoying features (inventory management is a nightmare) it’s definitely worth a quick run-through if for nothing else the eye-candy.
